Active Culture creates a workplace that values physical activity and reduces sitting time. It integrates physical activity policies and has a dedicated health and wellbeing team, with senior management leading by example.
New employees learn about these policies and physical activity resources during onboarding. It promotes movement through walking meetings, stair use, and flexible work options.
View ResourcesAn Active Physical Environment goes beyond just having a gym membership perk. It’s a work environment designed to keep employees moving throughout the day, leading to better health, focus, and morale.
Here’s what it looks like and how you can promote it
View ResourcesActive Opportunities promotes physical activity beyond work. It benefits not only the employee but the employer. Discovering information about your nearby environment, venues and sporting clubs This resource helps you to organise active groups and provide other exercise options such as virtual classes.
It also supports active commuting with resources on cycling safety and maintenance.
View ResourcesActive Community Connections goes beyond the workplace walls to create a culture of active participation in the wider community. It encourages employees to join initiatives like Premier’s Active April or Ride2Work Day, or creating workplace teams.
The organisation integrates physical activity events and challenges into its wellness calendar and actively promotes local parks, walking/cycling paths, and recreation facilities through various channels. This includes promoting lunchtime walking groups, workplace sports teams, and even using local parks for events and social gatherings.
