The 2023 Active Geelong Active Workplace Awards were presented during a gala breakfast at GMHBA Stadium on Wednesday 8th of November.
The event was MC’ed by Active Geelong Ambassador Peter Murrihy, with the aim of showcasing and celebrating the many businesses in our region doing innovative things to support their staff to be physically active.
The ‘top gong’ for Active Workplace of the Year was awarded to Barwon Health, with other winners including the City of Greater Geelong, Handbury Centre for Wellbeing Geelong Grammar School, WorkSafe, Cobram Estate Olives and Kardinia Health.
‘We are proud of the diversity of businesses who won awards; the winning workplaces employ approximately 14, 000 people combined, so their workplace physical activity initiatives have significant impact on the physical, mental and social health of many individuals’ Dr Hugh Seward, Active Geelong Chair.
